Small “Tips” – Pieces to include in your Green House

I collect screws at yard sales and auctions, this box cost me 50 cents and had everything I needed to do the job.

So I’ve been doing the block on the Green House the last few days. I wanted to share some things I’ve learned while doing this project.

There are a few things to remember when building a block green house.

1. Use proper Type S Blended Mason Mix for your block.
2. Remember to align your block to place 4×4 timbers in the correct places, corners, middle of wall.
3. Remember to put Screws in your block to hold outside Timbers in place. See Photo Example above.
4. Put Stone down on your floor to keep out slugs and bugs, 1/2 inch min.

Today I started to concrete the walls in the Green House.

We have received all the block needed and today I purchased 2 bags “Broken”, $1.50 each.

I mixed and positioned 22 block for my new 25 foot by 12 foot Green House.
